ESRTROGEN DOMINANCE: It’s one of the fastest growing problems these days and results in a myriad of health issues including:

Decreased libido, sluggish metabolism, EXCESS fat storage and insomnia.

Drinking WaterEstrogen dominance will also cause men and women to gain more and more abdominal and lower body fat, while making it nearly impossible to get rid of.

This problem isn't just related to humans. Our wildlife is feeling the effects too. Researchers studying animals around the world have observed that fish and frogs in our lakes and rivers are actually switching gender due to the high levels of effluent estrogens.

It’s all been attributed to one thing: the increased levels of estrogen in the water we drink and bathe in day after day.

Although estrogen often considered a female dominant hormone, it’s naturally produced by the male body in small amounts as well.

This often presents a HUGE problem for trying losing fat. That’s why females will typically store more lower body fat, in the legs and hips, where there are a large number of estrogen receptors. Males will typically see “man boobs” or fatty tissue in the chest area, along with a decrease in libido and potential prostate issues.

However, a good majority of these nasty side effects can be reversed when you incorporate the following 4 steps:

Step #1: Reduce or eliminate the two foods that raise bad estrogen inside your body

It should come as no surprise that in addition to causing high insulin levels, consuming too many refined carbohydrate foods and simple sugars can make you fat and sick. But it gets even worse.

Sugar can also cause an increase in the conversion of testosterone to estradiol - the form of estrogen that increases fat storage.

Step #2: Gorge on foods that contain DIM (fights against BAD estrogen)

Cruciferous veggies like spinach, cabbage, kale, bok choy, Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower help your body rid itself of bad estrogens. Broccoli also contains unique phytonutrient compounds such as indole-3-carbinol that help the liver to remove these estrogenic compounds and Diindolymethane or DIM which helps to prevent aromatase (conversion of testosterone to fat storing estrogens).

These same phytonutrients also contain potent anti (breast) cancer fighting properties as well.

I know it sounds like a broken record, but eat MORE veggies if you want to fight against fat storing estrogen dominance.

Step #3: Control your stomach acid and increase natural enzymes

My wife has a saying that’s stuck with me like glue over the years:

"You are NOT just what you eat. You are what you eat, digest and assimilate!"

In other words proper digestion is crucial if the nutrients you consume are going to be absorbed and utilized by your body properly.

One of the biggest deficiencies my wife and I see is that of low stomach acid. When your stomach acids are low your food cannot be digested properly, which makes it impossible for estrogen fighting foods to do their job. Improving your stomach acid levels can be accomplished simply by taking an inexpensive HCL supplement before your main meals.

Step #4: Test yourself for Methylation

Methylation helps your body process toxins and hormones, including the breakdown and removal of fat storing estrogen.

In order for optimal estrogen metabolism to occur, your body needs to efficiently methylate. But for many individuals there is a genetic problem affecting this gene called MTHFR which under normal conditions would methylate properly.

How do you know if you have this problem? Simple - eat some asparagus and then go to the washroom. If your pee smells funny then congratulations - it is likely you have the MTHFR mutation.
